NADKC ANNUAL MEETING AWARDS
This year's winner of the Albrecht Keil Award was the team of Mark Moses and Xavier vom Riverwoods who received a Prize I, 330 points in the VGP. The Albrecht Keil Award is presented each year to a member in the NADKC who successfully completes a VGP with the highest score. Xavier's dam is Vincenza von der Asseburg and his is sire is Kristan KS vom Pöttsiepen.
Of the five handlers and their dogs recognized with VGP awards for 2003, four DKs were from Zwinger vom Riverwoods.

A special surprise was the presentation of the Kiefer Award to Wilhelm Engelking from Zwinger vom Riverwoods. This award is presented each year to that person or group with the NADKC who is deemed to have contributed the most to the Club and the breed.

XAVIER vom Riverwoods NAILS TOTVERBELLEN

Birmingham, IL: Mark Moses and his trusty dog Xavier vom Riverwoods became only the 2nd team in North American history to successfully complete this difficult phase of the Verbandsgebrauchs- prufungen (VGP). The totverbellen requires a dog to successfully complete the usual 400 meter blood track and then do a 200 meter free search, locate the deer, remain at the carcass, and bay for 10 minutes. Mark and Xavier received a Prize I, 330 point total on the VGP held on October 3-4, 2003.
